Rehearsing and Performing Safely

COVID-19 has had a disastrous effect on the theatre industry. We at Half Cut have witnessed it first hand; in fact, the need to do our bit to kickstart the industry inspired us to form the company in the first place.

We are committed to touring, rehearsing and performing safely and securely: The safety of our collaborators and audiences is paramount to us. Therefore we have certain protocols in place to make sure we produce amazing work in safe conditions.

We rehearse in person, but socially distanced, with sanitiser, visors and ventilation provided in our rehearsal space. We provide regular testing for our collaborators, who then join us in our bubble so that we can tour securely. The tour itself does not involve travel by any public transport and we operate in a secure bubble so as to reduce risk to ourselves and others.

As an audience member, you can be sure that we have your safety foremost in our minds. The company fulfil Front of House duties at each of our venues, seating you and your group the three metres away from anyone else so that you can laugh, cry, shout and generally enjoy the show in a way that is safe for you and your family- it may mean you’re sitting a little further  away from the action, but don’t worry, we’re more than loud enough!
